a sliver of paradise in the Visayan seas. the owners of this gorgeous little island are in the process of building a small resort here. my stomach lurches at the idea of such a beautiful place (which, wonderfully, lacks any phone signal or electricity) getting commercialised and/or trashed by excessive tourist waste. maybe it won’t happen, maybe it will. either way, I’m glad to have been able to pay my respects to the Islas whilst they’re relatively low key and still in their glitteringly pristine natural state.
