One of the most epic things to do in Boracay is kickstarting your day in paradise with a breakfast extravaganza at Sunny Side CafĂ© Boracay. This gorgeous beachfront brunch spot serves up the most Instagrammable breakfast dishes you’ll ever lay your eyes on – plus it has a two-storey view of the bright blue ocean. Sunny Side is also one of the few places on the island that do a banging oat flat white. Happy tears.

Best Dishes to Try at Sunny Side Café:

From their famous Breakfast Bahn Mi to the heavenly Ube Pancakes, each bite is a flavour explosion that will fuel your island adventures. I visited Sunny Side Café not once, not twice, but three times during my trip. As Lonely Planet said about the place: “Repeat visits will likely follow”.

Tip: Arrive early to secure a table with a stunning view of the turquoise waters. Don’t forget to pair your breakfast with their signature Boracay Sunrise Smoothie for a refreshing kickstart to your day. I highly recommend having their Heritage Champorado, which is INCREDIBLE. Made with dark Malagos chocolate, Sagada black rice, coconut ice cream and sweet saba bananas, it’s a must-try.

One of my favourite things to do in Boracay is diving into the crystal-clear depths of its waters. Swim alongside majestic sea turtles, colourful schools of fish, and explore the coral gardens.

Tip: Enrol in a diving course with a reputable dive shop to ensure a safe and unforgettable experience. Don’t forget to bring an underwater camera (GoPro is my favourite) or rent a camera to capture the enchanting beauty that lies beneath the surface. The licensed diving instructor who guides you will usually offer to take photos for the group too.

Tip: You can either book a private yacht charter or join a group sunset cruise in Boracay. Catered cruises will let you sip on a glass of champers, a cold San Miguel (or Red Horse) beer as the sun goes down.

7. Paddleboard at Sunset in the Glassy Waters of Boracay’s White Beach

In summer season, Boracay’s waters are beautifully calm, and only start to ripple a tiny bit towards the late afternoon. As the sun begins its descent, head to White Beach for a paddle-boarding session against the mesmerising hues of a Boracay sunset – one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world! Glide over the calm, glassy waters and enjoy the breath-taking view of the sky ablaze with shades of orange and pink. It’s an ethereal experience that will make you feel at one with nature – and put your balancing skills to the test!

Personally I’d say paddleboarding on White Beach is one of the best things to do in Boracay. It makes me feel like Moana.

Tip: Rent a paddleboard from any of the beachfront vendors and don’t forget to slather on sunscreen. Capture the magic by bringing along a waterproof camera or using a GoPro strapped to your head. I’d personally go for a hands-free GoPro. I’ve tried to hold up a selfie-stick whilst paddling and let me tell you, it did not go well. Ha.

  • Boracay Paddle Board or Boracay Water Walkers offer top-rated paddle-boarding experiences in Boracay. My advice would be to find a vendor offering paddle-boarding further up in the quiet part of White Beach around Station 1, so it’s a little calmer. You can haggle a bit on cost in person too!

8. Strike a Pose in a Clear-Bottom Kayak:

Take your Boracay beach explorations to the next level by hopping into a clear-bottom kayak. As you paddle along the coastline, be amazed by the vibrant marine life beneath you. Admire the colourful coral reefs, playful fish, and maybe even catch a glimpse of a friendly sea turtle. This unique perspective will leave you awestruck. If you’re flying solo, then you can actually be paddled around by the kayak vendor, who’ll snap some epic photos of you in the kayak on your phone or camera for you. Say cheese!

Tip: Remember to wear a hat and sunglasses to protect yourself from the tropical sun. Don’t forget your waterproof phone case for capturing those incredible moments and to protect your phone if it falls into the water. If you love kayaking – try doing a guided kayak tour to make the most of your island adventure!

If you’re craving a thrilling experience, consider doing a helicopter tour in Boracay! See the island from a whole new perspective as you soar above the stunning landscapes, pristine beaches, and turquoise waters. See paradise from above, with panoramic views of the island’s coastline, witness the intricate patterns of the coral reefs beneath Boracay’s clear waters, and gaze in awe at the lush greenery of the surrounding hills and mountains.

Watching the fire dancers is one of the best things to do in Boracay! At the very least, they’re entertaining, and it reminds you of how athletic people can be.

Tip: Find a cosy spot at a beachfront bar and settle in for an unforgettable show. Support the performers by tipping them after their performances. Stay vigilant of your belongings in crowded areas and enjoy the show with friends or fellow travellers.

11. Explore Mount Luho Viewpoint:

For a break from the beach, venture to Mount Luho Viewpoint, the highest peak in Boracay. You can go on a short hike or rent a motorbike to reach the summit and witness panoramic views of the island. You’ll be able to admire the sparkling coastline, lush hills, and general beauty of Boracay from a different perspective.

Tip: Bring a camera to capture the breath-taking views, especially during golden hour. Wear comfortable shoes and bring water for the hike. Don’t rush – take your time to appreciate the moment.
