The Sandqvist Ruben 2.0 is hands-down my FAVOURITE travel backpack in the world for short trips and weekends away – and trust me, I’ve been through quite a few backpacks in the past decade. Made by Sandqvist, the Ruben is water-resistant, has an expandable roll-top, a 15” laptop sleeve, strong waterproof zips, and can carry up to 27 L. It’s also made from recycled polyester and has reflective safety coating to keep you visible at night. It’s functional and durable – and I always feel like my valuables are safe in here. A beautifully designed weekender bag.
Osprey Europe’s 40L Fairview Backpack is a must-have for serious travellers. Mine has lasted through at least 40 trips, through rain, shine, dust and dirt, and it performs like the first day I used it. It’s an iconic travel backpack with superb form-fit, strong back support, and comfortable straps. Comfort is so important in a travel backpack – especially if you have mild spine curvature like I do. I can’t say enough good things about the Fairview.
If there was a holy grail of carry-on suitcases, this would be it. Thule’s Subterra carry-on suitcase is sleek, durable, and water-resistant. It’s got divided compartments with strong zips, compression panels to minimise packing space and wrinkles, and its wheels are oversized spinners that glide over all kinds of rough terrain without a hitch. It wheels smooth as butter and the way its designed makes pulling it a breeze. This is SO worth the investment and fits like a dream in airpot cabin compartments. This is probably the best wheelie suitcase in the world. (For me, at least!)
